Redwall Passive Infrared Detector SIP Series
The REDWALL-V series is a high-reliability outdoor detector that is especially suited for remote and local video monitoring applications. The detector provides three benefits for these applications:
- Reduction of false alarms
- Quick and reliable installation
- Protection from vandalism
The goal of the REDWALL series detector is to provide a product that can deliver reliable and effective protection while reducing total installation costs. To achieve this, the REDWALL SIP detectors has five innovative sensing technologies features:
- High-reliability PIR sensor with double conductive shielding
- Thermo-sensor for detecting environmental ambient temperature
- Light intensity sensor for detecting ambient brightness
- Photo-beam sensor for anti-masking
- Accelerometer for anti-rotation
Redscan Laser Scan Detector
The Optex Redscan is an innovative laser scan detector. It can detect a moving object's size, speed, and distance from the detector and process that information with a unique algorithm, which results in high-reliability detection of people and objects. The detector can also be mounted vertically or horizontally according to the application and site conditions.
When vertical detection area is selected, Redscan creates a 60m(200ft.) detection area that functions like an invisible wall. With four outputs for remote video applications and up to 8 fully programmable detection areas linked with these outputs, Redscan is the ideal detector for controlling PTZ cameras.
When horizontal detection area is selected, Redscan creates a detection area with a radius of 30m(100ft.) and an arc of 190°. The detection area can be set manually or automatically. If the automatic setting is used, the detector will set the proper detection area even for complicated area shapes.

PIE-1 PoE IP Encoder
The soon-to-be released Optex PoE IP encoder offers extreme flexibility for
any Optex sensor to be easily added to an Milestone-powered security
network. The unit has two RJ45 jacks (one as the network input, one as a
pass-through output) and enough wire-lead analog and power inputs to
integrate with any Optex sensor. The PIE-1 fits in a standard double-gang
box and acts as power-splitter and Redwall Event Command encoder to send the ASCII alarm command(s) back to the network.
